Under the new ownership of PlayLV Gaming Operations, LLC, the Plaza hotel and casino has set out to be a major player in the effort to reshape downtown Las Vegas. The old property has been given a seven-figure renovation as well as snappy new logo inspired by the retro-Vegas movement.
Meantime, the fresh ideas have the action picking up again at the Plaza, which anchors the Fremont Street Experience from its Main Street location.
Boasting "real values, real people, classic fun," the resort draws tourists who want a big time for a small price. Indeed, the 1,000-plus-room hotel - one of downtown's biggest - offers a lot of destination for the money.
